The injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale captures the medium tank T-34/85 in the arrangement used by the Egyptian army, and it does so as an interior kit with a fully detailed inside. The set from the maker MiniArt holds a well worked out interior of the driver's and fighting compartments and of the turret, an engine, full ammunition, individual track links and hatches that can be built open as well as closed.
After the Second World War the T-34/85 spread to many armies of the world, and in the 1950s and 1960s it formed the backbone of the Egyptian armored forces, where it took part in the fighting in the Middle East. The Egyptian examples carried a number of local modifications and finishes matching desert service. A gun of 85 mm caliber and a reliable construction made it a widespread and durable machine.
Finish and paint the interior and the engine before the hull and the turret are closed; with the hatches open the inner equipment comes into its own. Spray the base with a primer and lay a desert shade on with an airbrush. You will create the patina with washes, filters and dust pigments for a faithful desert look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
