Plastic kit of the American G7107 (1.5 ton, 4x4) truck together with the single-axle Ben Hur trailer from MiniArt in 1:35 scale. The kit contains finely detailed plastic, photo-etched parts for added realism and a decal sheet with several marking options. The doors and the covers can be built open or closed. The model can be built as a truck on its own or as a rig for a convoy diorama.
The G7107 was an American light truck with all-wheel drive and a payload of 1.5 tons, widely used by Allied armies in the Second World War. The single-axle Ben Hur trailer was among the most widespread Allied trailers and supplemented the carrying capacity of vehicles in the rear areas and in the field alike. The rig appeared on every front, and it is a rewarding subject for scenes in North Africa and in Europe alike.
Paint the chassis, the engine and the cab interior before assembly. The cargo bed of both the truck and the trailer has internal detail - paint it before closing them up. Use a thin liquid cement on the plastic and fix the etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Apply a primer before painting. Matter-of-fact weathering suits the rig - dust and mud in pigments on the chassis and the wheels, washes into the wooden bed and light paint rubs.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
