The plastic kit German 5 cm Anti-Tank Gun PaK 38 in 1:35 scale from Tamiya - the German anti-tank gun of the Second World War with crew figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German 5 cm PaK 38 anti-tank gun in 1:35 scale from Tamiya. The set contains the gun itself and crew figures and allows the weapon to be built in the firing or in the travel (towed) position. Accessories such as artillery shells and ammunition boxes are included as well, and they complete a convincing scene of a gun position.
The 5 cm PaK 38 was the successor to the older PaK 36 and reached the units from 1940. This light, low-set gun with a two-piece gun shield and a muzzle brake could penetrate armor that the PaK 36 could no longer handle. Thanks to its low weight the crew could move it and conceal it in the field relatively easily; the gun served on most fronts until the end of the war, later as a supplement to heavier anti-tank weapons.
First assemble and paint the carriage, the breech and the barrel, and only then complete the shield and the wheels - the small parts of the breech are harder to reach once things are assembled. Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement and treat the whole model with a primer before painting. Bring the metal of the breech and the barrel to life with a dark wash, and apply dust and mud pigments to the carriage and the lower part of the shield. Paint the crew figures separately and place them by the gun at the very end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
