This injection-molded plastic kit from MiniArt presents the German 7.5 cm PaK 40 anti-tank gun in the early production form, in 1:35 scale. Besides the plastic parts, the package holds photo-etched parts and a decal sheet. The model makes it possible to build the gun in the firing as well as the travel position.
The 7.5 cm PaK 40 was the standard German anti-tank gun of the second half of the Second World War. Thanks to its high muzzle velocity and effective ammunition it could hit the overwhelming majority of Allied tanks of its day. It was deployed on all fronts and became the backbone of the German anti-tank defense. The early production version differs from later series in details of the carriage, the shield and the barrel.
Pay attention to the fine parts of the carriage and the breech; use liquid cement on the plastic. Once assembled, apply a primer and the paint with an airbrush. The gun stands out with weathering by means of washes and pigments, which emphasize dust, mud and traces of wear. The model also works splendidly as part of a diorama with a gun crew.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
