A set in 1:35 scale with a German tractor and the MG 151/20 anti-aircraft weapon on a triple mount, carried on a special trailer.
Responsibility details are not available.
The combination joins a German tractor of the Second World War with a special trailer on which an anti-aircraft weapon is set on a triple mount. Such combinations came about from the need to protect columns and rear areas against low-attacking aircraft: the tractor brought the weapon into place, the crew deployed it and, once the threat was over, towed it on again. The abbreviation Fla in the name refers to the anti-aircraft role, the abbreviation Sd.Anh. to the special trailer.
The MG 151/20 is a 20 mm automatic weapon which came about as aircraft armament and only later reached ground mounts. A triple mount carries three such weapons side by side. That means a high density of fire in a short moment, and against a fast-flying target that matters more than long range. The mount turns about a vertical axis, so the crew can follow a target right round.
The combination has two sections which can be built and painted separately and joined only at the end. So try the fit dry before you reach for the glue. Cut the thin parts of the mount and the tubular structure of the trailer with a sharp blade a little way from the part and carefully sand the remainder, so they do not crack. The barrels and pivots suit being set apart with a metal shade, whereas the underside of the trailer and the running gear will take pronounced dusting, because on towed equipment the dirt holds precisely there.
For builders of German equipment in 1:35 scale and for dioramas with air defense or with a column on the move. The combination takes up little room and still gives a scene action. Paints, glue and other material are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
