A resin, 3D printed correction part from the Czech manufacturer CMK for refining the cast Saukopf type gun mantlet on the Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer tank destroyer of the mid and late production series. This variant corresponds to the longer version of the mantlet and replaces the part from the plastic kit with a more faithful shape. It is an aftermarket accessory, not a model in its own right.
The target kit is Academy; that is bought separately.
The Hetzer was a light, low tank destroyer on the proven Panzer 38(t) chassis with a 7.5 cm PaK 39 gun. The cast gun mantlet nicknamed Saukopf was given a rounded shape that resisted hits; during series production its shape and length changed, which is why a shorter and a longer version are distinguished.
Wash the resin part, cut it from the print supports and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue. Once fitted, the cast texture of the mantlet can be emphasized and supported during painting with dark washes and dust pigments.
It is a correction accessory, not a complete model. The base kit is not included in the package.
