An injection-molded plastic kit of the Israeli Merkava Mk.4 main battle tank in 1:35 scale from Meng. The model can be built in the Mk.4 or the Mk.4 LIC version (for fighting in built-up areas) and fitted with the workable Nochri-Kal mine roller system for clearing a path. The Merkava Mk.4 is the latest generation of the Israeli main battle tank, in which exceptional emphasis is placed on protecting the crew — the engine is at the front and the rear also serves for evacuation or resupply. It carries a 120 mm gun and modern fire control and protection systems. The LIC variant is adapted for use in urban and low-intensity conflict. The Nochri-Kal mine roller makes it possible to break a path through mined terrain safely.
Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement. Finish and paint the running gear and the lower hull before final assembly; assemble the link tracks patiently. Build the heavy mine roller carefully and consider reinforcing it so that it keeps its geometry. After the base coat (over a primer, with an airbrush), bring the tank to life with washes, wear on the edges and strong dust and sand on the running gear and on the roller — that is typical of desert service.
