A modeling set of period Italian traffic signs in 1:35 scale. This is not a vehicle model but a diorama accessory — a collection of elements that bring a scene to life and set it in a particular place and time. The parts are to be assembled and painted and suit any diorama in 1:35 scale from that period.
Traffic signs give a scene scale, context and credibility. Placed by a road, at a crossroads or by buildings, they help tell the story of a diorama and complement both military and civil vehicles in 1:35 scale. The subject of Italian signs of the 1930s and 1940s suits scenes from the setting of the Second World War in particular.
Separate the small parts carefully from the sprue and clean them up. Apply a primer and paint the faces of the signs after period patterns; apply any decals onto a smooth, glossier base and fix them with varnish. Light weathering adds realism — fine washes, dust and scuffed edges. The posts and stands can be shortened or anchored into the base of the diorama as needed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
