An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern German main battle tank Leopard 2A6 in 1:35 scale from Tamiya. The set contains polystyrene parts, clear parts for the lights, tracks and decals; a commander figure is usually included as well. The model is built by gluing the plastic parts and is intended to be painted.
The Leopard 2A6 is a modern German main battle tank. Compared with the previous versions it brought a longer 120 mm gun barrel with a higher muzzle velocity and improved protection. The wedge-shaped add-on armor on the front and the sides of the turret is characteristic. The type is widespread with a number of European armies.
Assemble and paint the running gear before you close the hull; fit the tracks according to the instructions. Use liquid cement for plastic and dry-fit the parts to check them. Apply the base coat with an airbrush over a primer; fine washes in the recesses and dust pigments on the running gear will underline the character of a modern tank.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
