An injection-molded plastic model of the Israeli main battle tank Merkava Mk.4M in 1:35 scale from Meng. Its characteristic feature is the roof-mounted slat armor, which protects the upper part of the machine against shaped-charge warheads. According to the manufacturer the box contains precise photo-etched parts and offers two color schemes.
The Merkava is an Israeli main battle tank with an unusual layout — the engine is at the front, which raises the protection of the crew, and at the rear there is a compartment that allows troops to get in and out. The Mk.4 version is the most modern family of Merkavas, with a powerful drive train and advanced protection. The Mk.4M configuration is usually supplemented with an active protection system and with slat armor against rocket-propelled grenades and guided missiles.
First prepare and paint the running gear, and only then close up the hull. Glue the plastic parts with thin modeling cement for plastic and the photo-etched slat armor with cyanoacrylate glue. After a base coat of primer and airbrushed paint in the Israeli desert shade, bring the surface to life with a wash into the recesses and with pigments for dust effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
