An injection-molded plastic model of the German command tank Panzerbefehlswagen 38(t) Ausf.B in 1:35 scale from the Hobby Boss brand. It is the command version of the light tank 38(t): in place of part of the normal armament it carried additional radio equipment, and you can recognize it by its characteristic frame antenna. The set allows the machine to be built as a command vehicle as well as a standard tank and offers a finely rendered hull, turret and running gear.
The light tank 38(t) was based on the Czechoslovak Praga (CKD) design and after the occupation of Czechoslovakia the German army took it over on a large scale. The Ausf.B version differed from the early form in small changes to the hull and the driver's front plate. Panzerbefehlswagen command vehicles were given a more powerful radio set and a frame antenna in addition, so that they served as a mobile command post for tank units. At the beginning of the Second World War the 38(t) was among the best light tanks and it was committed, among other places, during the campaign in France in 1940.
Before closing up the hull, finish and paint the running gear and the internal details that are hard to reach later. Glue the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic and fill and sand the joints if needed. Lay a base coat (primer) before painting and apply the paints with an airbrush in thin layers. For realistic weathering use washes and pigments (mud and dust effects) and bring out the rivets, the pressings and the edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
