An injection-molded plastic kit of the medium tank Pz.Kpfw.IV from the production of the Nibelungenwerk plant in the spring of 1943, in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer MiniArt. It is a 2 in 1 version with a well worked-out interior, because either the late Ausf.G or the early Ausf.H can be built. The set contains a detailed inside of the driver's and the fighting compartment, of the turret and of the engine compartment, photo-etched parts, clear parts and a decal sheet for several marking options.
The Panzerkampfwagen IV was the backbone of the German armored forces through the whole Second World War and the only German tank that stayed in production from the beginning to the end of the conflict. The long barrel of the 7.5 cm KwK 40 gun was already carried by the Ausf.F2 version and by the whole Ausf.G series, and the side armor skirts (Schürzen) were added in the late production of the Ausf.G; the Ausf.H then brought one-piece frontal armor 80 mm thick and a new transmission. The vehicles from the Nibelungenwerk are among the production batches that can be pinned down precisely in period terms.
On a model with a full interior, finish and paint the internal compartments, the engine and the running gear before you close the hull and fit the turret. Glue the photo-etched parts with super glue and the plastic parts with thin modeling cement for plastic. Apply the base color with an airbrush over a primer; for weathering use washes in the recesses and pigments for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
