An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet LAP-7 rocket launcher in 1:35 scale from the maker Miniart. The weapon system is built on the chassis of a light truck derived from the license-built Ford AA. The model is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted kit and tends to be richly broken down; the exact contents of the package (the number of parts, photo-etched parts, decals) are given by the manufacturer.
The LAP-7 was a Soviet rocket launcher of the Second World War period in which the launching armament was mounted on the bed of a light truck. The result was a self-propelled salvo weapon in the spirit of the rocket launchers of the day, capable of rapid fire and of moving on. The chassis derives from the widespread Ford AA built under license in the Soviet Union, which at the time was a common solution for rapid motorization. The finely worked vehicle matters as much to this kit as the launching section itself.
The model has fine and numerous parts, so work with a sharp knife and liquid cement for plastic and follow the instructions. Paint the engine, the chassis and the cab interior before they are closed up. After the base coat from an airbrush, accentuate the planks of the bed and the details with a wash, bring the wood to life with shades and glazes, and add dust and mud with pigments on the running gear. Work the launching frame and any ammunition section separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
