This detail set from the manufacturer MiniArt contains an injection-molded plastic model of the transmission for the late version of the T-54 tank in 1:35 scale. It is an accessory to interior models, not a whole model of the tank. The set makes it possible to render the engine and transmission compartment of the vehicle in detail.
The T-54 was a Soviet medium tank of the postwar generation, which became one of the most widespread tanks in the world. The transmission is part of the drive train at the rear of the hull; its faithful rendering will be appreciated above all on a model with an open engine compartment or on a cutaway.
Cut the parts from the sprues, clean up the sprue gate remnants and glue them with a cement for plastic. Assemble and paint the transmission before closing up the hull. Metallic shades, oil stains, washes and a fine dusting with pigments suit a realistic look.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
