An injection-molded plastic kit of the T-55 medium tank in the Czechoslovak production configuration, complemented by the KMT-5M mine roller, in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. The set is richly broken down, with individual track links, photo-etched and clear parts and with the option of opening the hatches. The package contains decals for several marking options.
The T-55 medium tank was built under license in Czechoslovakia from 1965 and became one of the most widespread tanks of its era in the armament of many armies. The KMT-5M mine roller was fitted to the front of the vehicle and, as it advanced, mechanically set off pressure mines, creating a lane for other vehicles. The combination of the tank and the roller makes an interesting variant for enthusiasts of engineer and combat equipment. The Czechoslovak origin makes it a welcome subject for collectors of Warsaw Pact vehicles.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the individual track links before finishing the hull. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic, sand the joints and treat the surface with a primer. Lay the shades on with an airbrush and create the patina with washes and pigments for dust and mud effects. The massive mine roller is best assembled and painted separately and attached at the very end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
