Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-55 medium tank in the Mod.1963 version in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. It is a technically rich model with detailed interior fittings, photo-etched parts and individual track links. The box offers a number of build options and decals for several finishes.
The T-55 was a Soviet medium tank that followed on from the earlier T-54 and became one of the most widely used and longest-serving tanks in the world. It was powered by a V-55 diesel engine and its main armament was a 100 mm gun. The Mod.1963 version corresponds to a particular production form of the early 1960s with the modifications of that period. The tanks of the T-54/55 family were the backbone of Soviet and allied armored forces for decades and served in many countries long after the end of the Cold War.
The model has a rich interior, so assemble and paint the engine compartment and the fighting compartment before you close the hull and fit the turret. Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic, and the fine photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Assemble the individual track links with the correct sag. Apply primer before painting, spray the green shade with an airbrush, bring out the engraved detail with a wash and apply dust and mud pigments to the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
