An injection-molded plastic kit of the American armored engineer tractor with an angled dozer blade in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. It is a richly broken-down kit from the military miniatures line — it includes a detailed engine compartment, the running gear and tracks, and photo-etched parts. The blade was used to clear obstacles, level ground and prepare field positions. Check the exact package contents and the number of photo-etched parts against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
Tractors of this type belonged to the engineer and supply vehicles of the US Army in the Second World War. The tracked chassis gave them mobility in heavy terrain and they were used to build and maintain field roads, airfields and defensive positions. The armored version received an armored cab that protected the crew while working within range of enemy fire. The angled blade made it possible to push material to the side, not just straight ahead.
First assemble and paint the running gear and the engine compartment before the hull closes them in — otherwise you will not reach them again. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and the photo-etched items with cyanoacrylate. After spraying the base color and a clear coat, emphasize the details with a wash and add dust and mud pigments, which look very realistic on engineer vehicles. Consider adding bare metal wear to the blade where it meets the soil.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
