The model is meant to be glued and painted. The M4A3E2 Jumbo came about as the assault version of the Sherman with fundamentally thickened armor, so that it could take hits while breaking frontally through German defenses. It was used from the fighting in Normandy and in the further campaigns in Western Europe at the end of the Second World War. Only a few hundred were built, so it was a fairly rare version, but one popular with crews precisely for its toughness. Some vehicles were rearmed in the field with a more powerful gun, although many kept their original armament.
On an armored vehicle, start with the running gear and the suspension and finish them before you close the hull. If the box contains workable tracks, assemble them carefully so that they sit correctly on the wheels. Glue the plastic with liquid cement and fix the metal parts and cables with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply primer before painting and spray the base coat with an airbrush. The thick, angular armor of the Jumbo is a rewarding subject for weathering: bring out the welds and the detail with a dark wash, and create dust and mud effects with pigments on the running gear and the lower hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
