This item is the standard edition; check the exact contents of the box and the presence of decals and accessories against the manufacturer's part number.
The M4A1 was the version of the famous American Sherman medium tank with the distinctive one-piece cast upper hull, which sets it apart easily from the welded variants. The model captures the mid production version with the initial type of VVSS suspension (Vertical Volute Spring Suspension), with vertical springs and narrower tracks, which preceded the later wide HVSS system. The Sherman was the most widely used Allied medium tank of the Second World War and was deployed on practically every front.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints carefully; with the accurate Asuka kits take care that the parts of the cast hull meet cleanly. Paint and highlight the VVSS running gear with its wheels and tracks before you finish the hull. After the base color apply a wash to bring out the details, highlight the edges with drybrushing and use pigments to add dust and mud weathering on the suspension and the lower hull. Apply a gloss coat before the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
