An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from MiniArt captures the American tow and service truck G506 built on the Chevrolet 1.5 ton chassis. The model offers a crane boom for towing, a winch and service equipment, together with a detailed interior and chassis. The Special Edition release adds extra equipment to the kit. The box holds photo-etched parts, clear parts for the windows and the lights, and decals for marking variants.
Chevrolet G506 trucks with a payload of 1.5 tons were among the widespread American vehicles of the Second World War. The tow and service version was equipped with a crane boom and a winch for recovery, towing and field repairs of vehicles. Trucks of this type were an important part of the rear areas of the Allied units and were also delivered under the Lend-Lease program.
Assemble and paint the chassis, the interior and the service equipment before you close up the cab and the bed. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic, spray the parts with a primer and paint with an airbrush. Glue the fine photo-etched parts with super glue and attach the clear parts with a glue meant for clear parts. Washes and pigments and discreet traces of wear underline the working character of the vehicle.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
