Airspeed Oxford Mk.I/II in 1:48 scale, a plastic model of the British twin-engine trainer of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
The kit captures the British twin-engine Airspeed Oxford trainer in the Mk.I and Mk.II variants, in 1:48 scale. It is an unassembled plastic model meant to be glued and painted. For the actual package contents (the number of parts, the decal sheets and the color schemes) follow the information on the box and in the enclosed instructions.
The Airspeed Oxford was a low-wing monoplane with two radial engines which in the Second World War served as a universal trainer for the training of pilots, navigators, radio operators, bomb aimers and gunners within the British and Allied air training program. The Mk.I version was often fitted with a dorsal gun turret for practicing defensive gunnery, while the Mk.II served above all for basic pilot and navigation training. The Oxford was among the most widespread trainers of its day and was used in many countries of the Commonwealth.
Glue the parts with a thin modeling cement for plastic, sand the joints once dry and fill them if needed. Before painting, apply a filler primer (surfacer) that evens out the surface and shows up imperfections to be sanded away. Apply the paints with an airbrush or a brush in thin coats and mask the cockpit glazing. For the final look, weathering with a wash and, if wanted, accenting of the panel lines work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
