A figure of a pilot climbing a ladder into the cockpit of a Viggen aircraft in 1:48 scale, intended by the manufacturer for Special Hobby and Tarangus kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Saab 37 Viggen is a Swedish combat aircraft with a delta wing and a foreplane, thanks to which it could land on short stretches of road. The AJ-37 version was an attack aircraft, the JA-37 a fighter. The cockpit sits high above the ground, so the pilot got into it up a ladder set against the aircraft, and that is exactly the moment the figure captures.
The figure is portrayed in motion, climbing the ladder into the cockpit. A scene like that turns a model into a story: the aircraft stops merely standing there and the moment before takeoff starts to play out. The manufacturer intends the figure for the Special Hobby and Tarangus kits in 1:48 scale. Check the contents against the manufacturer's information on the packaging.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and carefully sand the remainder down. Before painting, wash the figure in lukewarm water with detergent and let it dry. First stand the figure dry beside the model and check that the feet and the hands rest on the rungs and that the stance matches the angle of the ladder; only then glue it. Choose the glue according to the material of the figure and degrease the surfaces. Apply the paint in thin coats, the flight suit comes out with a darker glaze in the folds, finish the helmet with the thinnest brush and bring out the visor with a gloss varnish.
The figure itself is supplied. The aircraft model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
