This is not a model of an aircraft but a self-adhesive masking set (O-max) for painting a model of the German fighter Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-9 in 1:48 scale from Omask, tailored to the kit from MiniArt. It is an accessory that requires a base kit: the set itself contains no plastic parts. The masks are pre-cut and intended for precise masking while spraying paint.
The templates make it possible to mask the canopy glazing, the wheels and other areas protected from overspray cleanly. With the O-max version, foam (EVA) plugs for the landing gear bays are usually enclosed as well, which simply protect the inside of the bays from paint; check their exact extent on the packaging. The masks are shaped for the parts of the particular MiniArt kit, which makes precise seating easier.
Degrease the surface before masking and let the previous coat dry. Transfer the masks into place, press the edges down against paint creep and spray with an airbrush in thin coats. The foam plugs are simply pushed into the bays. Once dry, remove the masks in good time and gently. Check the specific contents and the number of masks on the packaging.
