A set of figures of a German tank crew in 1:48 scale in the pea dot camouflage pattern of the Second World War period.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figures show a German tank crew of the Second World War period in camouflage clothing with the pattern known in English as pea dot and in German as Erbsenmuster. It is a late dot pattern that appeared only in the closing stage of the war, so the set is aimed at scenes from the last months of fighting.
The 1:48 scale is at home mainly with aircraft, but among kits of ground vehicles it forms a group of its own, and there are considerably fewer figures for it than for the more widespread scales. The crew will therefore come in handy for anyone who is building a tank or a tank destroyer in this scale and wants to inhabit it: figures in the turret or beside the vehicle give a scene both a size comparison and action.
Cut the surplus material and the traces of production away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder down gently. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts: on polystyrene parts modeling cement is enough, while for other materials reach for super glue. In this scale, suggest the dot pattern rather than copying it literally. Work from the base area through larger color patches to the individual dots applied with the tip of a fine brush or with a sponge. A dark glaze into the folds and light drawing out of the edges will keep the figures legible even after matting down.
Builders of ground vehicles and dioramas in 1:48 scale will appreciate it. The scope of the set is on the packaging.
The vehicle model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
