Resin (3D-printed) figures, an ordnance crew in red jerseys with an AERO 21A skid, in 1:48 scale from Reskit — four figures of carrier deck personnel. An accessory for experienced modelers, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin (3D-printed) figures, not an aircraft model. The set contains four figures of carrier deck personnel in 1:48 scale together with an AERO 21A ordnance skid. The red jerseys are the members of the ordnance crew — in red vests they prepare and load bombs and missiles. The larger number of figures allows a fuller deck scene than the two-figure variant; the set suits models of carrier aircraft, typically the F-14 Tomcat. It is made by Reskit, a specialist in resin and 3D-printed accessories for experienced modelers.
Lay down a primer on the resin and then the paint. Paint the deep red vests of the ordnance crew in layers and shade the recesses. With four figures, watch for small differences in the tones of skin and footwear, so that the group does not look like clones. Build the flesh tone up from a lighter base and darken the recesses with a filter. Finish the ordnance and the skid in metal and technical shades with a fine wash.
For modelers of carrier aircraft in 1:48 scale who want to create a livelier deck scene with more figures around the machine. If two figures are enough, a smaller variant exists as well. Working with small 3D-printed figures calls for experience.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The aircraft model, paints and glue are not included in the package. When sanding resin, wear a respirator and ventilate the room.
