This resin (polyurethane) figure in 1:48 scale from the Italian brand Royal Model portrays a Soviet tank crewman in a moment of rest. The relaxed pose and the finely rendered uniform make the figure a rewarding accessory for models of armored vehicles in the same scale. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
In the Second World War the crews of Soviet tanks wore a characteristic leather or cloth coverall and a soft ribbed helmet. A figure of a tank crewman in a resting pose beside a vehicle gives a scene a human dimension and suggests a break in the fighting or in a move.
Wash the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the mold seams. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting; in 1:48 scale a base coat with an airbrush and finishing with a fine brush, with emphasis on the face, the hands and the helmet, is advisable.
