An injection-molded plastic kit of the German tracked StuG III assault gun, or rather of its version armed with the 105 mm howitzer (Sturmhaubitze 42). Thanks to its size the model in 1:56 scale is popular among players of tabletop wargames and among collectors of smaller vehicles. The package holds plastic parts, decals and building instructions.
The StuG III was among the most numerously built German armored vehicles of the Second World War. It was built on the chassis of the Panzer III tank, it had a low silhouette and a gun fixed in the hull without a rotating turret. Originally it served as infantry support, and later it also made its mark as an effective assault gun against tanks. The Sturmhaubitze 42 version carried a short 105 mm howitzer intended mainly for fire against fortifications and infantry.
First finish the running gear and the hull, and only then move on to the superstructure. German armored vehicles suit a base shade laid on by airbrush and rounded out with washes and pigments for mud and dust effects. If the model carries a Zimmerit texture, bring it out with a dry brush. Glue the plastic parts with a modeling cement for plastic.
The model comes unassembled and unpainted. The glue, the paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
