An injection-molded plastic kit of a recovery and towing tractor in 1:72 scale from the Belarusian maker PST. The KV-T model is based on the chassis of the Soviet KV heavy tank, on which the turret was replaced by a body for recovering and towing damaged vehicles. The exact contents of the box and the marking options follow the instructions in it.
The KV-T was a recovery vehicle derived from the KV heavy tank. In place of a turret it carried a working body with equipment for towing and recovering bogged-down or damaged vehicles from the battlefield. The robust chassis of a heavy tank gave the machine plenty of pulling power. Vehicles of this type were an indispensable part of tank and mechanized units, because without them damaged equipment stayed on the battlefield.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. First assemble and paint the running gear and the underside of the hull, and only then close the body. Apply a primer before painting, best with an airbrush. Working recovery vehicles tend to be heavily caked with mud and dust, so support the patina with washes into the recesses and pigments on the running gear and the underside of the hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
