A collector model of the two-seat BAe Hawk jet trainer in the colors of the Royal Canadian Air Force, in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The BAe Hawk made its name as a trainer for the advanced preparation of jet pilots. The crew sits one behind the other, the student in front and the instructor behind on a raised seat, so that the instructor has a view forward over the student's head. Canada is among the countries that took Hawks into their system of military pilot training, and the machines there wear a color scheme of their own.
The model is worked up in 1:72 scale and captures the aircraft in Canadian military colors. The 1:72 scale is the most widespread for aircraft, so the item fits in size among the other models in a collection. The details of the particular machine, and whether the model is supplied assembled and painted, are given on the packaging.
Display the model where sharp light does not fall on it, best of all in a glazed display case. An open shelf means more frequent cleaning: sweep dust off with a soft brush, as wet cleaning does a model more harm than good and detergent can attack the printing. When handling it, hold the model by the fuselage, not by the tail surfaces or the landing gear.
With this machine a collector fills out a line of training aircraft, which fly in very different color schemes in the individual countries. Modelers, for their part, will appreciate a finished piece in the same scale they build in, and can compare shapes against it. A base, a display case and other accessories need not be part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
