An injection-molded plastic model of the British light truck Bedford MW in 1:72 scale, made by the Polish brand IBG models. This variant depicts the truck as captured equipment (Beutefahrzeug) used by the German army. It is a small model with delicate parts, where, given the small 1:72 scale, careful work and patience in removing and gluing the smallest parts pay off.
The Bedford MW was a British light truck of the 15-cwt category, one of the most widely used support vehicles of the British army during the Second World War. It transported troops and cargo and also served as a chassis for a range of purpose-built bodies. Captured vehicles of Allied origin were routinely taken into German service (Beutefahrzeuge), re-marked, and used chiefly in the rear echelon and in rear-area supply.
In 1:72 scale, glue the small parts with thin liquid modeling cement and work with a sharp scalpel and tweezers. Paint the running gear and any bed interior before closing up and fitting the body. Apply a primer and paint with an airbrush in thin coats; German captured equipment comes to life with detail highlighting via a wash and light mud and dust effects with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
