Kelik 1:72 F-4J is a set of decals for a model of the naval version of the F-4J Phantom II fighter aircraft in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set of decals is intended for models of the twin-engined F-4J fighter aircraft in 1:72 scale. You will use it to finish the surface of the model, whether as a replacement for the sheet from the box or when you want sharper and more legible printing. The model, paints and varnishes are not included in the package.
The F-4J is the naval variant of the heavy two-seat Phantom II fighter. Against the older versions it was given modernized onboard electronics and a fire control system, and it kept the characteristic silhouette of the type: two turbojets in the fuselage, dihedral wingtips, folding surfaces and markedly anhedral horizontal tail surfaces. The machines were intended for operation from aircraft carriers, so they carry carrier equipment including strengthened landing gear and an arrester hook. It is precisely the naval machines that tend to be attractive to modelers because of the colorful squadron markings, which quality decals suit.
First spray the area with a gloss varnish and let it cure properly, otherwise air will stay under the decal and the edges will silver. Release the decal in lukewarm water, transfer it into place with a brush and soak the surplus water away from the center outwards. Apply a decal softener in thin coats, above all with the large motifs on the tail surfaces, so that they lie down over the engraved lines. On a model in 1:72 scale the stencils are very small, so work with tweezers and in good light. Once it has dried, cover the surface with a matte or semi-gloss varnish and only then add a wash and traces of service.
This is a separate set of decals, not a kit. The model, paints and varnishes are not included in the package unless stated otherwise.
