A set of unpainted plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the Italian manufacturer Italeri. The package holds riders on horseback in several poses. The figures are meant to be separated from the sprue, assembled and painted.
The hussars were the light cavalry of the French army in the Napoleonic wars, used for reconnaissance, communication and screening the movement of troops. They wore a striking Hungarian-style uniform with braiding, a sabretache, a saber and a carbine; the typical conical shako was in use roughly between 1804 and 1813. The set depicts riders of this kind.
Separate the figures carefully from the sprue and clean up the parting lines. Cement for plastic suits the gluing, and super glue helps at the rider and horse joints. Apply a primer before painting; work the colored braiding of the uniforms with a fine brush, and a wash will help bring out the details of the harness.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
