A detail set from CMK in 1:72 scale, made by 3D printing. This is not a kit, but an accessory that improves the exterior accuracy of the corresponding modern kit of the tank destroyer Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer and corrects some shapes. The set provides above all a new, correctly shaped gun mantlet, new fighting-compartment access hatches, a remote-controlled machine gun, a later-pattern exhaust cover, a jack, and a half-figure of the loader-radio operator for an open hatch.
The Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer was a German light tank destroyer from the end of the Second World War, built on the proven chassis derived from the LT vz. 38 tank (Panzer 38(t)). A low silhouette, sloped armor and a fitted 75 mm gun made it a feared vehicle that was also relatively cheap and easy to manufacture.
Wash the parts to remove mold release agent and carefully cut them off the support blocks; protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting. German camouflage schemes suit the Hetzer well, along with washes and pigments for mud and dust effects on the running gear.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
