A set of injection-molded plastic figures of the Italian Alpini mountain troops of the Second World War in 1:72 scale from Italeri. The box contains a large number of figures in a range of poses and two mules, and serves as a figure accessory for mountain and winter dioramas.
The Alpini were the elite Italian mountain troops. In the Second World War they were committed on several fronts, in 1942 among other things as part of the Italian expeditionary corps on the Eastern Front. The figures wear the characteristic mountain hats with a feather and mountain equipment, and the set also includes pack animals for carrying loads. The treatment is matter-of-fact and historically grounded.
Separate the small parts carefully from the sprues and clean up the seams. Brush painting with a gray-green base and a wash in the folds works well. Shade the mules in brown tones and with a dry brush. Apply the skin in two layers and finish with a matte varnish.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
