An injection-molded plastic kit of the American armored half-track M3 Half Track in 1:72 scale from Italeri. It is a simplified model from the quick assembly range with a low parts count; the box holds two sets, so you can quickly build a pair of vehicles. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; for the exact contents of the package, follow the enclosed instructions.
The M3 Half Track was an American half-tracked carrier of the Second World War with wheels on the front axle and tracks at the rear. The vehicle carried infantry and equipment, served as a prime mover and formed the basis of a range of specialized versions; Allied armies used it in large numbers as well. The combination of wheels and tracks gave it good cross-country ability while keeping a decent road speed.
Thanks to the low parts count even a beginner can manage the build: the joints are designed so that glue can almost be done without, but we still recommend thin cement for plastic for strength. Spray the base coat over a primer and use thinned modeling paints in the airbrush. Bring the tracks and lower hull to life with a wash in the corners and dust pigments; dry-brushing brings out the edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
