This is an interior 3D decal for the MiG-21MF fighter in the version built at the Moscow plant, from Quinta Studio in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit and not an airplane model but a three-dimensional colored cockpit accessory made for the plastic kits from Eduard. The set is also supplemented with 3D-printed resin parts. Machines from the different production plants differed in the layout of the cockpit, which is why this panel matches the Moscow-built form.
A 3D decal is made up of layers of colored resin on a backing paper. Once released in water it behaves more like a pre-painted photo-etched part than like a decal: the instrument panel, the side consoles and the seat have depth, faithful colors and a three-dimensional surface. It replaces both painting and photo-etched sets.
Dip the decals briefly and settle them in place, then use a little suitable glue to fix them. Leave out the decal softener, as it would break up the printed layers of resin. Wash the added resin parts free of uncured resin residue, cut the print supports away and glue with cyanoacrylate glue; protect your airways when sanding.
This is a cockpit accessory, not an airplane model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
