An injection-molded plastic kit of a heavy tank in 1:72 scale from the Belarusian maker PST. The model captures a Soviet heavy tank captured by the Wehrmacht and taken into German service under the designation 753(r). It is a short-run kit; the contents of the box and the marking schemes follow the instructions in it.
The subject is a Soviet heavy tank from the start of the Second World War, marked by a heavily armored hull and turret and a 76 mm gun. A number of these vehicles fell into German hands in the first months of the war on the Eastern Front; the Wehrmacht then operated them with its own markings against their original owner. The designation 753(r) is a German captured-equipment number, and the letter r refers to the Soviet origin.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. With military vehicles, first finish the running gear and the underside of the hull, and only then close the superstructure. Apply a primer before painting, ideally with an airbrush. For the patina, dark washes into the recesses and dust or mud pigments on the running gear work well. On captured vehicles the combination of original and new markings tends to be interesting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
