The UAZ-469 was a Soviet light off-road car introduced at the end of the 1960s, which became one of the most widespread military vehicles of the Eastern Bloc and of a number of other armies as well. In improvised conversions it was often fitted with heavy weapons; the installation of a 106 mm recoilless gun turned it into a mobile antitank weapon used in conflicts from the Middle East to Afghanistan. The vehicle was simple, reliable and easy to repair.
This is a short-run kit, with which it pays to clean the parts up and check the fit by dry-fitting. Glue the plastic parts with liquid cement and the fine etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Finish the chassis first, then the body and the weapon system last. After the base color, bring out the detail with a wash and suggest the thick dust typical of desert service with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
