A set of unpainted plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the Italian maker Italeri. The package contains riders on horseback in several poses along with a few figures on foot. The figures are meant to be separated from the frame, assembled and painted.
Union cavalry served during the American Civil War (1861 to 1865) for reconnaissance, raiding and direct combat. The soldiers are shown in short cavalry jackets with the McClellan type of headgear or a slouch hat, and with carbines. The set captures riders of this kind.
Separate the figures carefully from the frame and clean up the mold parting lines. Plastic cement works for gluing, and cyanoacrylate helps at the joints between rider and horse. Apply a primer before painting; unify the blue uniforms with a light wash and pick out the straps and the equipment.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
