This injection-molded plastic kit from Trumpeter represents the American M26A1 Pershing heavy tank in 1:72 scale. The model has a hull and turret broken down in detail, the long barrel of the 90mm gun and detailed running gear, and it contains photo-etched parts, clear parts and decals for American markings.
The M26 Pershing was an American tank armed with a 90mm gun, deployed at the close of the Second World War as an answer to the heavy German tanks. The improved postwar M26A1 version received a modified main gun with a fume extractor and a new arrangement. The vehicle became the basis for the later development of American tank equipment and it was the predecessor of the Patton series.
Assemble the running gear before you close the hull. Glue the photo-etched parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Olive Drab paint airbrushes well over a colored base (primer) on plastic; at the end add a wash in the recesses and dust effects with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
