The Roden Vomag 8LR (1:72) plastic kit - the German heavy truck of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Vomag 8LR heavy truck in 1:72 scale from Roden. The model captures the sturdy interwar truck with a flatbed body; decals for several marking options are in the box. The smaller scale makes it a rewarding addition to a display case and to a military diorama.
The Vomag 8LR was a large truck developed in the second half of the 1930s for rapid carriage of goods between cities - the chassis was suited to travel on hard roads at higher speed. Only a small number of trucks of this type were built before the war, and once the conflict broke out the army used them too for logistics and moving materiel. It is therefore one of the less common but interesting pieces of German rear-area equipment.
In 1:72 scale, take care to clean up the small parts of the chassis and the cab properly. A base coat of primer, an airbrush and single-color or camouflage schemes according to the chosen markings all prove their worth. Bring out the cab and the body with a wash in the joints, the edges with a dry brush, and weather the chassis and the wheels with pigments for dust and mud. Add the glazing and the small extras at the very end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
