AFV Fantasy Color Magic Blue

AFV Fantasy Color Magic Blue - a spray paint from Vallejo

An aerosol paint from the Spanish brand Vallejo, carried under the shade name Magic Blue. The spray is applied straight from the can and is not thinned. With deep blue tones two things come up regularly: how to get even coverage without the coat getting thick, and how to work with an aerosol safely and cleanly.

Use

• Do not build a deep tone with the force of the application but with the number of thin coats. One heavy coat floods the engraving and runs far more easily.
• Deal with uneven coverage on edges with a lighter undercoat, not with more paint. A dark undercoat mutes a deep blue and forces you to add extra coats.
• Work in a ventilated workshop or outdoors, and never in a closed space without extraction. Atomized paint stays in the air longer than it can be seen.
• Protect your surroundings. Overspray from an aerosol carries further than from an airbrush, and a sheet or a spray booth saves a lot of cleaning up.
• After every use, turn the can upside down and press until clean gas comes out. A dried nozzle is the most common reason why a spray stops working.
• Store it upright, dry and at room temperature, out of direct sun and away from heating.

Who it is for

It suits modelers and makers of figures or dioramas who need a deep area of color without a compressor and an airbrush. For fine details, lines and transitions reach for a bottled paint and a brush.

The can is under pressure and flammable. Spray in a ventilated area or outdoors, away from open flame and sparks, with respiratory and eye protection. Do not expose it to temperatures above 50 °C and do not pierce or burn the can, even an empty one. Keep it out of the reach of children.
