Tools are the small thing that gives a scene scale and credibility. Shovels, wrenches, axes, hammers or saws stowed on the fender of a vehicle, propped against the wall of a workshop or laid out on a bench need different shades than the machine itself: the darker metal of a head, the wood of a handle and the worn sheen of a working surface. It is for these small areas that this set of shades from the ATOM range has been put together.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles to the bottom and without stirring the shade comes out weaker. The thinner meant for this range and the thinning ratio are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging; apply several thin coats rather than one heavy one, because a heavy coat floods the fine relief. Stick small parts onto a wooden skewer with double-sided tape for painting, so that you hold them by something other than the painted surface. Wash and degrease the surface before painting.
It suits builders of dioramas and military vehicles, where small equipment appears most often, but you will use it anywhere a model carries a load or a set of gear.
What is supplied is the set of paints alone. The model, brushes and thinner are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
