Bright Metal Color Set, oil paints with an applicator

A set of three oil paints in packages of ten milliliters each. Every bottle has a cap with a built-in brush, so the paint is applied straight from the bottle and no palette is needed. The set contains the shades Gun Metal, Aluminium and Gold, that is the dark metal of weapons, light aluminum and gold. Against a set aimed at bare steel, this one is aimed rather at light and shiny metals and at colored fittings.

Work tips

Oil paint dries slowly, so a mark that has been laid down can still be blended or broken up for a long while. Apply only a minute amount and blend it out with a dry brush. The surplus can be taken off with a cloth dampened in thinner for oils. Work on a surface that has dried and is ideally sealed with varnish, otherwise the oil soaks into a porous paint. With the gold and the aluminum it holds doubly true that less is more: a continuous area looks like a toy, while a fine accent looks like metal.
