Vallejo Earth Green (Early) 60 ml — a primer that shows how you prepared the model

This is not a covering color but an acrylic-based primer. Besides adhesion it has one more function that modelers often underrate: the first thin coat of primer is a merciless check on the surface. A uniform matte tone reveals scratches from coarse abrasive paper, seams that have not been filled, marks from sprue gate remains and traces of glue that were lost on bare plastic among the colors of the sprues. That is exactly why it pays to prime before an expensive covering color comes into play. The volume of the bottle is 60 ml.

Use

• apply the first thin coat and look the model over in sharp side light, and the flaws will stand out
• fill the seams you find, sand them down with fine paper and respray the area
• shake the bottle before every use, as settled filler otherwise covers unevenly
• apply the coats thinly, so that the engraved panel lines are not flooded
• thin only with the thinner from the manufacturer for the airbrush, as water weakens the binder
• let it cure before you start overpainting, masking or sanding
