Panel Line Accent Pour Type - brown (Gunze / Mr.Hobby)

A liquid paint for accentuating engraved panel lines - gaps, grooves and rivets. Its consistency is so thin that once a brush is touched to a groove it runs along by capillary action down the whole length of the line: you do not have to paint anything laboriously, the paint flows along the groove by itself. Once dry, the excess is wiped off with a cloth or a cotton swab moistened with thinner - the paint stays in the groove and disappears from the smooth surface. The result: the lines stand out, and the model gains depth and scale. Without this step a model looks flat, like a toy, and with it like a real machine. Brown gives a warm, dirty tone - it does not read as ink but as a deposit of dirt and dust.

Use

• Ideal for military vehicles, wooden elements, rust and older worn machines.
• It reads as a deposit of dirt, not as a drawn line; for a clean technical contrast choose black or gray.
• It works best on a smooth gloss or semi-gloss clear coat - the paint flows in cleanly and wipes off easily.
• On a matte surface it soaks into the pores as well and dirties the area, which then cannot be wiped clean.
• The recommended procedure: gloss coat, then the panel lines, then a matte coat to unify the surface.

It contains solvent, so use it in a well-ventilated area, out of the reach of children and away from open flame. Try it in a hidden place before committing to it; wipe the excess off with the matching thinner.
