A modeling marker in a metallic shade named Heavy Gun Metallic, a means of aging a model. The paint is right inside the body of the marker, so mixing, thinning and cleaning an airbrush all fall away. For short, precise work it is the quickest way to reach a small detail without setting up a whole painting kit for it.
A metallic tone suits places where on a real machine the finish would wear through to bare metal: the edges of hatches, the edges of step plates, projections and the corners of crates. It also does good service on small metal parts that are not worth spraying and for picking out edges after the finish is done. That is where the marker is strong: you work with it over small areas and under control.
Try the marker on an offcut of plastic first, not straight on the model. Lay it down a little at a time and rather in two passes; taking off is harder than adding. Let the layer dry thoroughly before you touch it or before a clear coat goes on. Expect a matte coat to dull the metallic sheen, so metallic accents are usually left until the end. Instructions for preparation and storage are given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
The model, paints and varnishes are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
