A set of Vallejo acrylic paints from the Game Color line aimed at leather and metal, that is at the straps, satchels, armor and blades of figures.

A set of water-based acrylic paints from the Game Color line by Vallejo, put together for the two surfaces that most often appear side by side on figures: leather equipment and metal. Leather covers straps, belts, satchels, boots and gloves; metal falls to armor, blades, buckles and fittings. The shades come from one line, so they can be mixed with one another and the transition from one surface to the other does not feel like a collision of two different colors.
Leather parts take less gloss and more wear than the rest of a figure. Lay the base tone, darken the hollows and the seams with a thin paint, and finally draw the bends and edges out with a lighter shade. Suggest small scuffs with the tip of the brush, not with a stroke; a regular pattern gives away that it is painting.
Metallic paints have heavier particles that sink to the bottom of the bottle, so shake them thoroughly before every use. Apply them in thin coats on a smooth ground, as on a rough surface the sheen breaks up into blotches. Depth is given to metal by a dark thin paint drawn into the hollows and by picking the edges out sharply, which imitates the glint on polished metal.
For painters of figures who want a complete selection ready for equipment and armor. Figures, brushes and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
