Mr. Super Clear is a clear varnish for finishing a model. It is applied as a final layer over the paint and the decals, unifies the sheen of the whole surface and hides the difference between the glossy areas of the decals and the matte paint around them. At the same time it protects the paint and the decals from abrasion during further handling of the model. The semi-gloss version is the middle way between gloss and matte and suits anywhere the surface is meant to look used but not entirely flattened.
Shake the spray thoroughly before use and let it come to room temperature. Spray from a distance and in several thin coats, letting each one set between the next; make the first coat only a light mist, so that the varnish does not attack the base. A heavy coat all at once means running and flooded details. Make a test on a piece of scrap plastic, especially if you have a water-thinnable acrylic underneath.
It is a solvent product, so work in a ventilated space and away from open flame. In damp air the surface can go white once dry, so in that kind of weather it is better to put the varnishing off. After you have finished spraying, turn the can upside down and press the valve briefly until only gas comes out; that clears the nozzle so it will not dry up next time.
The varnish will be used by every modeler who finishes a surface and fixes decals, whatever the category of model. The package contains only the spray; the model, paints and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
