Patinator Wash WV 09 is a liquid weathering preparation from the Czech maker Agama in the shade of dried mud. It belongs to the water-thinnable range, so it is both thinned and wiped off with clean water. It is not an opaque paint or a pigment but a liquid wash for final weathering, which runs into recesses and engraved lines and gives the surface depth and a dirty, used look.

Use

• It is applied onto dry varnish or paint, ideally onto a smooth semi-flat to gloss surface.
• It runs by capillary action into engraved lines, gaps and around details and picks them out.
• The excess is wiped off the raised surfaces with a cloth or a brush dampened with water, until the desired effect is reached.
• The intensity can be controlled by thinning with water and by repeated application in layers.
